Want to generate a ADU report.

Hi All,

I want to generate a ADU (Array Diagnostic Utility) report,
Can you please advice me the steps i have to follow to generate the report.

That's generated with the Array Diagnostics Utility. What operating system does the server have?

So you have an Integrity server with an SmartArray or MSA?

ACU and ADU do not exist on HP-UX, instead utilities like SACONFIG and SAUTIL are used.

Can you provide details of the hardware and what information you need?

We can get CLI prompt for MSA 1500 so can you please tell us how to generate the ADU report.

Storage Device : MSA 1500

Storage admin ran a "show tech_support" on the array when they were getting the "03-Critical lockup detected" error.

Then they replaced the secondary MSA1000 controller and now they are getting
the "43 - Redundancy failed Hardware Failure" error. When the MSA1500 is
shutdown and rebooted, it comes up cleanly and runs error free for several
hours and then the error occurs again.

So can you please tell us how to generate the ADU report.

"Redundancy failed" means that one controller cannot talk to the other through the controller enclosure backplane.
Could be a problem with one controller or the backplane itself.
With the log you got with show tech_support should be enough for HP to analize it.
