Brocade switch root password reset

I have an issue and two questions. The issue is that we have a number of switches in our fabric for which our root password isn't working. The questions are:
-how does one go about resetting the root password?
-Is there any know issue where the root password can be reset, such as after a firmware update, etc.

Hi Tim,

it may depend on the switch model and firmware, for some you need to install a special firmware in order to reset.

Consider to ask HP support.

We have the switches that come in bot p and c-class chassis as well as 2 48000 directors. All have had their firmware recently updated to v6.2.0a
