Host Bus Adapters

Can anyone tell me if the LP8000 and the LP 950 HBA's use the driver and firmware. LP8000 is connected to a MA-8000 and the LP 950 is connected to a MSA1000. Both servers and Windows 2003.

Different hardware = Different Firmware.

LP8000's were 1GIG adapters. The 950 is a 2 GIG HBA I believe. They may use the same driver on your 2003 Server.

I can't seem to find the LP950 by that name on the HP website.

I have a reference that the LP952 is Emulex' name for the FCA2101.

It looks like Mike's URL is a bit truncated, here is the full one:

Last time I checked the driver for the DS-KGPSA-CB (LP8000) and the FCA2101 (LP952) was the same. The download page currently says: 'DRIVER for FCA2101, FCA2355, FCA2404, FCA2404DC, FCA2408, and DS-KGPSA-CB'. Firmware for the FCA2101 is on that page, too.
