Shouldn't be a problem - just remember to set the kernel parameter 'st_san_safe' to 1 on the HP-UX host.

Re your other question - I don't think so - just your storage nodes need SAN access.

HTH

Duncan

Hi,
we are about to install a dedicated backup san with a library MSL5026SL.are there problems to mix tru64 V5.1A server (it drive the robotic) and hp/ux 11i itanium server client?
Another question, is aubout using networker 7.1.1 with this san. We want to use the DDS option (drive dynamic sharing) with 1 MSL5026 SL module on the San.Does my networker server want to have a San connection ?
thanks

If you want to control the robot-arm, your Legato server will need access to it eq. it will need a SAN connection.

Please make sure that your Legato server is the only server with a mapping to your robot-arm LUN.
