Direct connection between 81B and P2000

Hi, one of our sites purchased an AW567A (P2000) SAN and two servers with a 81B (AP769A aka Brocade 815) HBA each. Once we managed to get it connecting for a day but now it doesn't work anymore.

There are many articles stating that direct connection between these devices is not possible (meaning that a switch would be required), like these:

However, various resellers claim that direct connection IS supported and our setup should work. What is the truth?

Hi Stephan,

I had the same problem wit 82B HBA's / VMware vSphere and P2000 G3 and can confirm that this config does not work and is not supported

Thanks! That TechSupport document is the clear proof that we needed. We were looking for such, but neither we nor our HP resellers were able to find it.
