HP 8/8 SAN Switches - Problem with loading firmware v7.3.1

Hello,

I was wodering if someone might be able to assist in resolving a problem that we are facing with a couple of HP 8/8 (8) Full Fabric Ports Enabled SAN Switches that we just purchased.

The product number is AM867B

We downloaded firmware v7.3.1.

Are there any usable instructions on how to load this firmware?

I am currently using filezilla ftp server set up on a PC and I keep getting the following error:

The server is inaccessible or firmware path is invalid. Please make sure the server name or IP address, the user/password and the firmware path are valid.

according to this thread:

it is because the firmware is incompatible. Can anyone help with this?

Filezilla should be good.

Check the ftp server logs for clues.

what path was used and what is the installed version?

In order to update to v7.3.1 you need to be at v7.2.x
