What version of SP are you running? Windows? HP-UX? Linux?

Are you trying to use the Windows Based WEB GUI? or the command line interface?

By default, setting up SecurePath Agent allows you to finish the install without setting a password. If someone has set the password on the agent, you will not be able to reset it unless you re-install SPA.

Now, if your talking about getting into the WEB GUI SP Manager... there should be no password at all except of course if the GUI is insalled on a SAN Appliance AND someone has gone in and set security up to allow/not-allow certain people to run certain tools.

Steven

Claude,

Is this a new installation of SecurePath ? What version? If it is 3.0C/3.0D and is a fresh install.. then it should NOT have any password to perform SecurePath operations. SeceuPath does not have a DEFAULT password .. it simply does not have one..

Otherwise, someone must have set one.
