If I understand your configuration correctly, you have:
1 4 GB Hard drive partitioned into:
1 8MB partition (HP utility partition)
1 4GB partition (Windows NT)

And, you want to add an 18GB hard drive to the system.

Do I understand you correctly?

If you simply want to add the 18GB hard drive, just plug it into one of your empty drive slots. If you are using the onboard SCSI controller, you simply
1. add the drive & reboot
2. Windows NT will detect the additional storage space
3. format & configure the drive using the disk management tool

But, if you are using the integrated NetRAID controller, you must first:
1. configure the new drive as a RAID array (your only option for a single drive would be to set it up as a RAID 0 array)
2. initialize the array
3. reboot the system

Then, just format & configure the drive using the disk manager tool.

If you want to move the existing information from the 4GB drive to the 18GB drive, you have a couple of options:
1. do a complete backup of your data; install the new drive; install NT from scratch; & restore the data to the new drive
or
2. use disk imaging software to create a disk image of the 4GB then use that image on the new 18GB disk

It's important to note that the use of disk imaging utilities is not supported by HP. So if you choose this option, you're on your own.

Good luck,

Alicia
