The BIOS available for download is not working properly. In the HP BIOS download area, it prints as January 2000 with ver. 1.00.11.CDOL but when it's loaded it displays as 1997. Is this correct?

I recently purchased a used LX Pro and have six - 4.2 GB Hotswap Disks on it. Once we initalize the system it reports a total of 1048571 MB or about 1048 GB. Clearly I'm missing something in here. If someone encountered this problem before and has the solution or anyone who has experience related to this problem, please help.

You may post it in here or mail me directly at bucao1@sympatico.ca.

Thank you in advance and a happy new year to you all.

hi
the last FW version for LX-pro is th 1.00.11 CDOL, the date reported is ok, you need also th have the last ECU in order to manage the bios.
For the hdd, are the hdd connected to a netraid or mylex controller?
Did you recreate the raid ?
If they are connected to a netraid controller, check if you have virtual sizing enable, this option let see to the os a large amount of disk capacity, but in reality you have to manage only the real capacity when you make your partition.
My suggestion is to disable virtual sizing.
bye

marino
