Also make sure that the HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) in Windows2000 supports multiprocessing.
Take a look at article Q234558 on support.microsoft.com. It explains how te verify the HAL you're currently using and how to update it.

Good luck!

Marco.

I am running Win2000Server on an lh pro w/ a single Pentium Pro 200MHz.

What is involved in adding a second processor, other than pluging it in?

hi
you need also a Voltage Regulatore Module (VRM HP P/N 0950-3066), then run ECU (eisa config utility), be also sure to use processor with same cache capacity (HP has two version).

bye

marino

Will I get in trouble if I don't use an hp processor? I can get Pentium Pro 200MHz for $25 or so, but I bet hp would be a lot more.

hi
processors are genuine Intel processor, so il you buy a processor who match the one you already have, you can use it without problem.

bye

marino
