HI
Clearing the cmos in a LC server will erase previus configuration, you will receive error message at boot, asking you to reconfigure the server, Usualy you only need to boot with the ECU, go to view, edit detail, check that all the memory and all the adapters are recognised, then exit and save, this will put your default setting.
If you have any eisa card, you will need the .cfg file for that card in order to reconfigure the bios.
anyway, if you change nothing in your bios config, you will restart your OS without any change.

bye

marino

If I clear the CMOS and NVRam on a Netserver LC plus running NT Server 4.0, will I damage the operating system? Will I have to reload or will clearing the CMOS not bother the OS?
Thanks!
