Dear all,

Yesterday, I tried to upgrade an LP1000r server from an embedded Symbios card to a HP Netraid 2M card.

I've placed the NetRAID card in the server and connected the HD's to it. Executed Ctrl-M, but the physical drives were not visible. Only the Processor is?

NetRAID 2M has latest firmware. H.01.08 and HD's worked earlier with Symbios adapter. Does anyone has a clue what went wrong here. The NetRAID adapter is new and has just been delivered by our hardware supplier?

Probably hardware failure?

Remco
Remco,

This can be a problem in the backplane of your server.
Do you know the serialnumber of the server?
I can check if it's in the range.
Powering off and on the server should solve it temporary

Marco.

hi
another part to check in lp1000 is the scsi cable, sometime, moving it can result in bad contact or broking, check it visualy to verify
bye
marino
