Diego,

Replacing the Netraid while the other node is still running should work...
However, if you have the possibility to shut the other node down then it's safer.
If you want to replace the Netraid 3si without shutting down the other node, remember thepower up the server with the new netraid controller first with the SCSI cable to the RS12 disconnected, because you have to download the cluster Firmware W.01.30 to the new Netraid 3si, put it in cluster mode and set the correct SCSI ID (6 or 7).
After you've done this you power off the node with the new 3si, connect the SCSI cable and power the server up.
You will get a mismatch between disks and NVram, read config from disks, save (don't Initialize) and reboot.
That shouold work!

Good luck,

Marco.

Hi, we have a cluster solution with LH3, RS/12 and netRAID 3SI. One netraid fail and we need change it. Is necesary stop the cluster server service to load config from disk in the storage to new controller?? Is recommended shutdown the remaining node to avoid use of the storage while read config from disks ???
Tks...
Diego.-
