I currently receive the following error messages upon boot-up of my server:

0080-51: Netserver Management Controller Selftest Failure.

0090-64: DIMM Management Failure

When I tried to update the system BIOS and Management Controller Firmware using the Navigator CD (M.04.00)they both failed.

I have not yet tried to unplug the power cord for 20 seconds like suggested, but that is my next attempt to resolve this issue.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

hi
right, the first step is to disconnect power supply for few minuts, disconect also all periferical devices like modem, printers, ups, lan connection . this to avoid pull up on the data line.
If this didn't solve probably you need to replace the riser card where is located the managment chip.
bye
marino

Dominic,

Look at this previous post on ITRC on the exact same issue: http://forums.itrc.hp.com/cm/QuestionAnswer/1,,0x7bcf35067c18d6118ff40090279cd0f9,00.html

Make sure that when you are attempting the Bios flash that all PCI cards are removed and nothing is connected externally except video and keyboard.

Ciao,
Greg
