topic HPComponent Service in Netservers

I have built a HP NetServer LH 3000 U3 Server using the Navigator CD. The NOS is Windows 2000 Server. I have updated all relevant BIOS and firmware and applied latest Microsoft SPs and patches.

On boot the HPComponent Service and HPHswSvc Service start up (i.e. in the Services MMC they are seen as started), however a few minutes later both are shown as stopped and an item is logged in the System Log that says that the HPComponent Service has terminated.

This keeps happening everytime the server is rebooted.

Any help will be appreciated.

I found another post that probably will shed some light on this issue.

See post it at:
http://forums.itrc.hp.com/cm/QuestionAnswer/0,,0xc28e84534efbd5118ff40090279cd0f9,00.html

Basically, it says to search for IS11073 at:
http://isupport2.hp.com/SearchKB.asp?NewSearch=true

IS11073 - HP Netservers - HP Netserver Agents v 5.04 Cause HPComponent Service Failure in Windows ?? 2000
