Hi
I'm trying to install windows 2000 advanced server on a HP Netserver LC 2000r. First of all I use HP navigator CD (guided installation) and, in the end, it asks me to create some diskette drivers for the OS Netraid Support. After that I boot from the windows 2000 advanced server Disk, and when it prompts me to choose between install win2000, repair, or quit, I choose Install and comes one message "SETUP DID NOT FIND ANY HARD DRIVES IN YOUR COMPUTER".
I have 2 Local SCSY Disks Mirrored with one Logical drive and an operating system running on it ... But the drives seems invisible when I'm trying to install a new copy of the operating system .... what can I do ???

Adilson,

Boot to the Navigator CD and create the drivers diskettes for Server 2000 for the LC2000. Then boot to the Server 2000 CD and press F6 to install third party drivers. Press S to skip detection and then S to specify additional drivers. Then load the bootable driver first (whether it is the netraid or symbios) Then continue on with the install. 2000 should find your hdds now.

Ciao,
Greg

If you are using the navigator to install the NOS then don't boot off of the Windows cdrom. The navigator install saves time by installing the required device drivers for you. It will prompt you when to put in the cdrom.

For the LC2000, the latest BIOS revisions are:

4.06.30 PV for U2 servers
You can download that at:
http://h20004.www2.hp.com/keeper_rnotes/bsdmatrix/matrix62572.html

4.06.04 RM for U3 servers
You can download that at:
http://h20004.www2.hp.com/keeper_rnotes/bsdmatrix/matrix75994.html

But, if you have the M.04.05 Navigator CD, you can also update the BIOS from that because the version on the HP.com page is the same.
