topic LC2000U3 Poor Performance? in Netservers

I have recently install 2 x LC2000U3 P-III 1G Netservers relacing 2 x old Pentium-II 300 level servers, and to my surprise both offer very poor "system" performance relative to older slower equipment replaced.

First LC2000U3 is running Microsoft BackOffice 2000 with 30-40 users, and the second runs SCO OpenServer 5.0.6 with 10-15 users. Both LC2000U3's are preconfigured model 54's (3 x 18.2 10K H/S) NetRaid 1M, RAM sizes are 640MB and 256MB (HP ECC) respectively. I have tried stripe sizes at 4K and 64K on RAID5 setting.

HP technical support in Australia tells me I am on latest NetRaid firmware and system BIOS levels.

Both (different) sets of users are disenchanted with performance of the new "systems" since the changeover. I am baffled because previous Netserver experience has always been wonderful.

Could anyone please direct me to someone who can offer some serious performance assistance with LC2000U3 and/or NetRaid 1M arrays?
