I am hoping that someone out there has tried this on the Netserver LH3 and could tell me if it works or not.

Anyone out there with an LH3 that has used PC133 RAM instead of PC100 RAM??????

I called HP support and they told me the LH3 supports PC100 RAM and that PC133 RAM has not been tested on the LH3.

I am aware that the LH3 suggests using PC100 SDRAM chips. However, I would like to know if anyone has ever tried using PC133 SDRAM chips and been successful. I hate to order PC100 chips when I have extra PC133 chips lying around.

Just put them in and try it. They should work, at 100MHz. Make sure you are up to date on the BIOS as well.

I would like to know if anyone has ever tried it successfully. I do not want to just "try it". Thanks for the suggestion though.

If anyone has tried this and been successful, please let me know.

Just buy the HP supplied memory modules. I know that they are expensive but how much is your time worth if you put in the wrong memory.

I buy the 256MB, 100 MHZ ECC dimm memory, the part# is D6099AV and have installed them on the LH3 with no problems.
The problem is that I have several PC133 chips that are not being used. The budget is frozen right now so I can't order the correct PC100. Thanks anyway, Frank.

Anyone know if this will work? PC133 instead of the PC100 that it calls for? (LH3)

I have never tried it with a netserver, but I have with several PC's, and they all worked.
