    <description>You can try switching the cd from the 2nd controller to the primary and set it as a slave.  At least it would recognize the cd.  The same thing happened to me with win98 &amp;amp; a Netserver E40.  There is a related story about this in the forum.  Look through them and you'll find it.       <description>Need Help - CD Rom not recognized and have a resource conflict (code15) (Intel 82371 SB PCI But Master IDE controller).  Any help would be greatly appreciated.</description>

      <description>Hi Marino,  Thank you for responsive reply.  I tried your suggestion (clear CMOS).  That process fixed part of my problem.  In addition to the CD-ROM not being recognized due to the Resource Conflict Code 15, I also had a conflict with the communication port, which was corrected by clearing the cmos.  I still have the problem with the CD-ROM not being recoginzed and the resource conflict.  Is it possible that this server does not support Win98 SE??  Any suggestions for a work around would be appreciated.  Thank You, Lou&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
