I've successfully downloaded ECU file, but when I tried to boot from it program says: need config file, named "!HWPC0D1.CFG".
I have no idea where it could be.
Can you help me with that?

Hi,

Recently we managed to acquire an old Netserver LH server (ppro 200). Unfortunately we just have the hardware - no manuals / drivers / cd's.

I'd like to install Win2k server or linux on it, but I'm running into some problems with the boot devices. Is it possible to enter the BIOS of the system to adjust the boot order (and check a number of other settings). Is there a key combination available to do this on POST? Or is a driver disk required?

Erm also I've heard mention of a "navigator" CD. Will this be required? If so, is it possible to download or otherwise acquire one?

Any info and/or links would be greatly appreciated.

Aidan Carter

The setup in this server is something called ECU (eisa config utility) and can be accessed with a Navigator cd or downloading it from the web.For LH:
www.hp.com/cgi-bin/cposupport/swindex.pl?p=nslh&l=en&c=BIOS
(I have also attached it)

There is no way to download the Navigator cd but you can subscribe for it at http://netserver.hp.com/support/compatibility/nav_cd/navcd_service.asp

All the files you will needs from the Navigator, are available on the web. The web will have the updated fiels you need. Also, Win2k is not supported on the LH and most versions of linux are not supported either. You can go here to view that: http://netserver.hp.com/support/nos_matrix/retiredkmatrx.asp

Now, just because they are not supported, doesn't mean you can't try.

Use this web page to first select the desired NetServer model. This should then take you to the software download web page for that Netserver.

http://productfinder.support.hp.com/tps/ProductFinder?h_lang=en&h_tool=software&h_query=netserver+lh3000&Submit.x=14&Submit.y=6
