Depends on the raid controller. Netraid controllers that were sold in the era of the LC3 will be part of Win2k, however, if you have a newer netraid card such as 4m/2m/1m, then you will have download drivers.

http://h20004.www2.hp.com/keeper_rnotes/bsdmatrix/matrix50443.html

I wish to convert my old LC3 from a WinNT Server OS to Win2k for use as a workstation. Is this possible? If so, all I need is drivers for the RAID controller and other components, right? I think win2k comes with drivers for most of the hardware, but I'm not sure about the RAID controller... TIA.

The original NetRAID (D4943A, 3 channel UW) and the NetRAID-1 are not supported by HP under Windows 2000. Newer NetRAID cards are supported (1Si, 3Si, 1M, 2M, & 4M). Do recommend the HP Windows 2000 driver for the NetRAID = mraid2k.sys version 5.20
Some people have gotten Windows 2000 to work with the older NetRAID, but behavior can range from no problem to very erratic.
