    <description>Greg, &lt;BR /&gt;   Thanks for your suggestions.   First of all where is the switch 3 you refer to....I have no documents.&lt;BR /&gt;When you say boot up the server with the drives out.....should I insert one at a time.....or insert one and reboot...????  Any and all help would be appreciated</description>

      <description>Tom,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The set of system switches is right above where the CPU processor board is.  Its a bank of 8 switches.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;As for the hard drives I would first boot the server with no hard drives installed and see if you get any error messages. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I would also inventory your PCI/EISA cards in the server and post their part numbers and remove any NON-HP cards until you get the server operational.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Ciao,&lt;BR /&gt;Greg</description>
