topic Netserver LH Plus Replacement RAID card in Netservers

Hi there, I recently received 2 netserver lh plus machines. The mylex dac960pl cards are bad and I would like to get cheap replacements that would be compatible with the lh plus and be supported under linux. What cards will work with this machine?

I'm hoping to set these up for a non profit organization as proxy servers. Does anyone know where I can get cheap (used ok) hot swap drives. Since no critical data will be saved used would be great.

The following HP NetRAID controllers are supported by HP in the LH Plus:

D4943A: NetRAID (original) 3 channel UW PCI
D4992A: NetRAID-1 1 channel UW PCI

Since the above cards (and LH Plus hard drives) are no longer available from HP, I would suggest checking with Paramount Computers at:
www.pmount.com. (Search by the desired part number)

What version of Linux are you planning on installing?

Supported LH Plus hot swap hard drives include:
D3583A: 4.2 GB Ultra-Wide SCSI hot-swap half-height 7,200rpm (Obsolete) (also had D3583B and D3583C revisions)
D4903A: 4.2 GB Ultra-Wide SCSI hot-swap half-height 10,000rpm (Obsolete)
D4289A: 9.1 GB Ultra-Wide SCSI hot-swap half-height 7,200rpm (Obsolete)
D6019A: 9.1 GB Ultra-Wide SCSI hot-swap half-height 10,000rpm (Obsolete)
D5039A: 18.2 GB Ultra-Wide SCSI hot-swap half-height 7,200rpm (Obsolete)
