    <description>Command is respawning too rapidly&lt;BR /&gt;check for possible errors&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;ps -ef yields&lt;BR /&gt;id Se1a "/etc/getty -t60 tty1a 3"&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;anyway to silence this or fix it ?&lt;BR /&gt;kill just makes it come back. &lt;BR /&gt;it is tying up resources.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It supposedly is set in INITTAB &lt;BR /&gt;some entries are as follows:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Se1a:234:off:/etc/getty tty1a m&lt;BR /&gt;Se1A:234:off:/etc/getty -t60 tty1A 3&lt;BR /&gt;Se2a:234:off:/etc/getty tty2a m&lt;BR /&gt;Se2A:234:off:/etc/getty -t60 tty2A 3&lt;BR /&gt;http::sysinit:/etc/scohttp start&lt;BR /&gt;agn0::sysinit:/usr/lib/doctor/bin/agent -d -b -I -L -T /usr/spool/doctor/log/age&lt;BR /&gt;nt.log &amp;gt;/dev/console&lt;BR /&gt;agn1:4:wait:/etc/rc4  1&amp;gt; /dev/console 2&amp;gt;&amp;amp;1 Se1a:234:off:/etc/getty tty1a m&lt;BR /&gt;Se1A:234:respawn:/etc/getty -t60 tty1A 3&lt;BR /&gt;Se2a:234:off:/etc/getty tty2a m&lt;BR /&gt;Se2A:234:off:/etc/getty -t60 tty2A 3     &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;any help would be appreciated</description>

      <description>You could change the respawn to once (to start the process at system boot only) or to off to prevent respawning entirely.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Alternatively, you could just comment the entry out.</description>
