As for IDE, most Netservers are not designed to use the IDE as a HD controller therefore the IDE was not in the BOOT strap. But again you can add a modern inexpensive IDE controller, even then new PCI U133 IDE RAID controllers and make a Mirror and boot from that.<BR />Your existing onboard SCSI controller should not have any limitations for drive size, for this is not part of the Firmware of the controller but that of the drive.
