topic LC2000 RAID5 Question in Netservers

We currently have a RS12 with 7 9.1Gb drives. I would like to add an additional 9.1GB drive to extend the logical partition. Is this possible? I googled and read the raid card docs but I do not see anything that would lead me to belive this can happen.
Thank You

Your basic question is then, can you increase the size of an existing Partition?
The partition is a logical device of the OS and unrelated to the RAID. Yes, you can add a drive to the RAID. You can add the drive to the current "Logical Drive" the the RAID reports to the BIOS and OS. THe set will then be rebuilt, restriping the data accross the new number of drives. When complete you have what you started with but with some free space no used by the OS partitions. You can now utilize this space for a new partition or in some OS structures, you can created and extended partition and join it to an existing partition to create a "virtual" size increase. That is the conjoined space appears as a single drive letter. THe only other solutions are PartitionMagic/ServerMagic, software to manipulate partition size and backup and restore.
