Danny,

You may try checking the boot order of your server and sure that your hard drive boot is enabled.

I am sure you have done all this, but it never hurts to make sure.

The old SureStore T4 SCSI tape drive in my E50 went bad. I'm trying to replace it with a new Seagate STT220000N-M 10/20GB SCSI drive. My hard disk's SCSI id is 3 and the tape drive is set to id 4. During boot my SCSI control find both correct and displays their ID and even correct model info. However when my NT 4 o.s. should start to boot I get a message "operating system not found". I first believed it was as simple as SCSI boot device was set incorrectly. However in my SCSI utilities I see it says the boot device is id 3 the hard disk. I can then power off and disconnect the tape drive and the server boots fine again. I also have ensured the tape drive is plugged behind the hard disk on the SCSI cable and verify that the tape drive is not jumpered for termination since the SCSI cable has a terminator directly connected to it end. I've tryed the drive in other servers and it works fine just won't in an E50. Can anyone please help?
