topic Redhat 9 installation problem on LC3 in Netservers

Am getting an error trying to install redhat 9 on my LC3. I'm using a bootable CD and all is fine until it tries to do the anaconda installation program. It says it exits abnormally when I select a graphical install or with signal 8 when I select text install.
Any Idea? Does it have to do with the Cirrus Logic video card? Reason I say this is that it flashes junk up onto the screen then displays the redhat screen then goes and displays the error messages and tells me I can safely reboot.
Hi,

I'm not sure what is causing your issue, but I get the same type of issue (Red Hat 9 on an Lh Pro),I recived an Xserver fatal error 104. Based on my research it seems to be related to the video. Try doing a text only installation and see if the problem goes away. I have a query on the board requesting info on doing a Red Hat install on an Lh Pro. One of my co-workers performed a successful installation of Mandrake 8.1 on a Netserver Lx Pro.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Gordon Owens
