If you haven't connected anything to the 2nd SCSI channel then I don't see any reason why this shouldn't work. I've installed 2nd drive cages in several LH3/4/3000/6000 systems and never had a problem.

- install cage
- tell BIOS to use 2nd SCSI channel for internal NetRAID
- insert drives
- create RAID1 logical drive
- configure it from OS

I have a Netserver LH3000 that has 5 HD on one rack using Raid 5. I am wondering if you can see any problems I might encounter by adding a second drive cage with 2 HD and mirroring these 2 hard drives. I have an application that does not like Raid 5 and in lieu of buying another unneeded server I was thinking of doing the above. Any opinions will be appreciated.
