robert, how did you installed the second videocard, i also put a old S3 Virge/V2 in the 3 pci slot from above (to let some space between the pci-card and the cpu). When the systems post the screen works, but in windows, also the drivers wont work (for s3) do i have to enable/disable some settings on the ecu bios?

This Netserver LH Pro will not let windows completely install. When installing Windows 3.11, Windows 95 and Windows 98 the software completely loads but after first re-boot get black screen with errors like kernel could not be found (win3.11) missing IO in the losubsys or system is low on memory (Win95 & 98)seems to occur exactly when GUI loads.
When loading NT 4.0 or Win 2000 from CD black screens sits at "checking your system configuration" for EVER. Please help if you have ran into this. Computer has 128MB Ram, 5 scsi 2 gig hard drives and Pentium Pro 200 cpu. Thanks

I'm not sure about which OS you finally install but, I had the same problem with LX Pro and Windows 2000. The cause was the video card, is a trident card and no drivers for Win2K. I installed a pci card and my problem is fixed...!

I'm not sure about Win2K but NT4 definitely should run on a LH Pro.

Does your system have a RAID controller ? If yes which one (HPDA from Mylex or NetRAID from AMI).

Since you are reinstalling anyway this is what I'd do:

1. install BIOS update (if available)
2. clear configuration (via dip switch)
3. reinstall OS (preferable using Navigator CD)
4. update OS drivers

On the older LH systems you can get some strange problems by plugging cards in the 'wrong' PCI slot.

Slot 9 is the best because its on the primary PCI bus. All other PCI slots are on the secondary PCI bus.

Slot 8 is worst (shares interrupts with onboard adaptec controllers; some drivers don't like that).

I think slot 5 and 7 also share interrupts with each other.

If you have a RAID controller and a network card put RAID controller in slot 9 and network card in 5,6 or 7.
