topic LH4 - NetRAID 3si compatibility question in Netservers

Hello,

I just acquired a loaded Netserver LH4r (Product#: D7006av), which is configured with dual NetRAID 3Si Disk Array Controllers.

According to HP literature, they recommend upon utilizing HP drives with a maximum size of 36.4gb.

Having read about the nature of the NetRAID DACs, I am interested in hearing the experiences of others using non-HP SCSI drives. Furthermore, has it been confirmed that is 36.4gb the maximum size correctly recognized by the controller?

Currently I'm entertaining the notion of using Seagate Cheetah 36.4gb 10k half-height (1.6") drives, assuming this is a "do-able" configuration.

Your insights are appreciated.

Regards, -David
