topic adding scsi hard drives to LC2000 Server in Netservers

I'm trying to add 3 additonal scsi hard drives on a Netserver LC2000 as hotswapable. I've purchased the hotswapable cages and now need to purchase the right scsi drives for my system. Can someone help me to tell me which scsi type, connector and size will work with an Netserver LC2000?

I was looking at buying the Maxtor/Quantum 36.7GB 10,000RPM SCSI Ultra 320 68 Pin Hard Drive, Model 8B036L0. I'm not sure if the hot swapapble tray can handle 68 pin or 80 pin hard drive. And if the LC2000 can even see a 36.7 gig hard drive and/or if it is compatible w/ it.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

SW

Hi SW,

we installed the HP-Hotswap 36GB (HP#D9422A) and 73GB (HP#P3577A) models
with no problems (LC2000/800Mhz).

As I remember, there are issues with other drives that are not HP-branded, even if they fit in the hs-tray (might be some disk/controller firmware things that might be tuned by HP).

I would consider to take HP parts (yes I know they aren't cheap - but your time isn't too)

Regards,
Martin
