LH4 SCSI configuration issues

Hello all,

I am the proud owner of a LH4r, which until very recently has been working like a champ. My issue is actually two-fold, but let's get the basics out of the way.

For my initial setup, I have a Seagate 9.1gb attached to the onboard SCSI controller, which contains the OS (Windows 2003 Server).

I just acquired (2) Seagate 73.4gb, which will ultimately be installed into the cage for storage. At present, I'm not focusing on this aspect of the install.

The reason for this, is I inadvertently deleted by OS off the 9.1gb. And I have been unable to successfully reinstall it. I have already performed the drive vertification within the SYMBIOS setup, and has produces no bad sectors.

However, I believe my issue is due to my lack of SCSI knowledge. I currently have NETRAID disabled within the BIOS. My current objective is to have my system boot off the onboard SCSI drive and then I'll deal with the configuration of the additional drives.

As I may have mentioned previously, I had the setup working fine, until I felt asleep at the wheel.

UPDATE:

I cleared the CMOS, as to restore system defaults, so everyone knows where I am at.

I tried unsuccessfully again installing Server 2003, and receive the following error message when attempting the final reboot after installing.

"Windows could not start because of an error in the software. Please report this problem as: load needed DLLs for kernel."

Continuing with my self monologue here...

Ultimately I decided that despite having verified the non-hot swap SCSI drive, it might be the culprit.

Not having any other reasonably sized SCSI's onhand, I've been forced to utilize a IDE HDD for my OS. Strictly a temporary solution, but appears to be working out just dandy. Installed Server 2003 as I type this, so will continue to update until this issue is resolved.
