Jake,

** I don't have an e-60 to test the bios flash on, however I did try to boot to it on my LH3000 and it starts MS-Dos, cursor goes down four lines and then reboots. It should boot to no valid image found for the bios flash.

Follow the steps below to see if it helps.. otherwise are you flashing the bios because o any errors or just housekeeping to get it up to date? I'll see if I can find a work around.. perhaps using a bios flash disk from another netserver and then adding the e-60 files to that diskette would be a possible solution..

First try to clear CMOS on the system board.

1. With system powered down, flip switch 5 on the system board to ON
2. Power on system until boot stops stating CMOS cleared
3. Power off system, reset switch 5 to OFF
4. Boot into F2, then F10 to save & exit
5. Reboot to floppy bios boot disk.

** Redownload e-60 bios also as you may have had a bad download, also use brand new floppies and perform full format, not quick..

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?locale=en_US&pnameOID=18330&taskId=135&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=45937〈=en&cc=us&swEnvOID=54

Hi,

I am trying to flash my E60 with the latest posted BIOS. I download fine, extract to floppy fine, but when I try to boot from it, it says: Starting MS-DOS... then just reboots.
I have tried three different floppy disks now, and two different drives to write the disk.
Anyone got any ideas?
thanks
jake eyre

Jake,

The E-60 bios download is definately corrupted, Perhaps Terry from HP can provide you a working BIOS download.

Ciao,
Greg
