Andrew,

Install netraid assistant. You can install it off the navigator cd. Close out the autoplay and then browse to \netraid\NT\US and then run setup. Goto NT folder regardless of NT or 2000. Then you can add hdds to the array.

Ciao,
Greg

I have the Netserver Navigator software that came with my netserver lh4r - the problem is that the maximum partition size it will let me install my NOS is 2 GB - is there updated software to allow me to create a bigger partition for my NOS?

Andrew,

Do a manual install, the automated install will limit you to 2gb for an install. Make sure that when you do a manual install that you hit F6 to load third party drivers for the netraid controller, otherwise the install will not find the hdds. Then you can create a larger OS partition.

Ciao,
Greg

Greg -

Thanks for the response. That is what I did - how do i know (after i install windows) that the raid is configured properly? Is there a RAID configuration utility I can run from windows? I have 2 more drives to install, and I want to manually configure the raid settings...

Andrew

Andrew,

Actually I would download the latest netraid assist and monitor utility. The monitor utility will run scheduled consistency checks to keep your raidset healthy.

You can download the netraid assist and monitor here: http://tinyurl.com/4djom

Its the same version of netraid assist and monitor.

Thanks and if this helps, points are always appreciated. :)

Greg
