I agree, it is most likely another piece of software causing the delays. If you can, do a clean reinstall or at least try and clean the WIndows environment up for help

Hello,

i have a LC2000r machine with the integrated NetRaid controller. Installede with Windows2000 Server SP4.

The access to disks is very slow. It can take up to a minute to start a little program.

How can I check if the right netraid drivers are installed?

Are there drivers from HP to download and install?

When it is an other problem, how can I improve speed?

Thanks for help.

Best regards
Guido Eidam

Guido,

There is no embedded Netraid on the LC2000r. The only embedded controller is the Symbios SCSI controller. Are you running on the embedded controller or do you have a PCI netraid installed?

Verify the configuration and if you indeed are on the embedded Symbios and are running a software raid, that will certainly impact performance. Also check in disk manager and see if the hard drives are healthy. Any errors in system log? If on a netraid controller, check netraid log for any errors.

Downloads for the LC2000 are located here:
http://tinyurl.com/4hz6d

Also install Instant Top Tools and check the Hardware Event Log and check for any memory errors as well.

If you do have a netraid card, download drivers here:
http://tinyurl.com/4ppx4

Ciao,
Greg
