topic Replacing a failed NetRAID 4M controller in Netservers

I have a failed NetRAID 4M in a NetServer LP2000r. When I replace it and load the Container Configuration Utility, I am almost certain that it will detect a configuration change and prompt to either to Accept or Reject the change. Does anyone know exactly what accepting the change will do?

With the 3Si, 1M and 2M controllers it was easy - you were prompted whether you wanted to read the config from the disks or the controller. I am not sure this is the case with the 4M. My concern is that the 4M will read any existing config on the controller and not the disks, losing me of the data on the disks.

Any opinions gratefully accepted.
Shane

Shane,
If you replace a 4M it will ask you to Accept. This Accept means to read the configuration information off the hard drives. There is no option to save configuration on the 4M controller itself. So you are safe - it is not possible to pick the "wrong" option in this case.
