    <description>The problems you are seeing in the event logs with the fans may in fact be referring to the power supply fans instead of the internal chassis fans, so you may wish to check those.</description>

      <description>hello ,my server Lxr8000 is running oracle database it is critical,and its red light flashes a month ago,and i found that in LCD's system EVENTLOG have a lot of  fan failure entries,and every fan is found there,and when the Eventlog is full ,the red light flashes after i cleared the eventlog it then become normal,and i uncovered the fan cage and no fan was failed. finally the above situation occured serveral times ,and i have no way to  make it normal permanently ,how can i do ?&lt;BR /&gt;thanks very much !</description>

      <description>What is the exact error message regarding the fan errors?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Check out &lt;A href="http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=thp00207" target="_blank"&gt;http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=thp00207&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;When you get an error message, this procedure recommends booting off the Navigator CD so that a special utility on the CD can check the system error log, display the error message(s) and then list some problem-solving procedures.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Also, see the enclosed GIF file.  I believe this is what your hot-swappable power supplies look like? If so, a failure or imminent failure on the power supply fan might be monitored by the system and notifying the event log.  I'm not saying this is definitely the reason for the errors, but thought it might be worth you checking to see if the power supply fans are the culprit. In any case, the procedure above should help narrow down the issue.</description>
