Hello,
I have the following problem. I want to replace the original video because of the low supported vertical refresh. I have several old PCI graphics cards. All of them work fine except the one I prefer to put into the server. When I plug in the 3DLabs Permedia 2 card, the server produces 1 long + 2 short beeps and then boots normally and loads the OS. Just the monitor never goes out of standby.
Please help me how to fix this, because I spent quite some time on the machine daily.

Two things: probably this card is not compatible, or there is some conflict at a bios level, try to clear and reconfigure it with ECU

I did not find much to modify with ECU, having in mind that I can run it only on a different video card.
How can they be incompatible? I have never seen such incompatibility that the computer does not boot:(
Please if you have in further suggestions, write back.
Thanks.

one cause may be the bus technology, another reason for being incompatible is if the rom is allocated at the same address as the rom of other components, and in this case, the scsi card
