No, the new additional space is NOT added to the D: directly, it appears as free space. The OS can only manage the partition logical drives. Win2000 will allow you to join 2 partitions into a single drive letter though.

Adding one more 36 will give you 20 something GB of additional free space to partition (RAID overhead, everything is redundent remember)

Dynamic is an issue, read the NetRAID Users Guide available online. http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?contentType=SupportManual〈=en&cc=us&docIndexId=179911&taskId=101&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=50440
Greetings.

I have a drive space issue which an Exchange information store resides on.
Server OS: Win2000
NetRaid Assistant:Loaded and operational
Raid Level: 5
SCSI drives including new one are all the same size.
My question is if the d:drive is running low on space is the new additional space added to the D: directly?
Original d:= 65g
add another 36g for a total of 101G on d:
Any issues if the disk are dynamic?
Will the Netraid controller support 2 logical arrays being a mirrored set + raid 5?
Thanks in advance

Troy
