This is what he needs done:

1) find and download a HP Navigator CD version M.04.05.

2) Be able to unlock or flash the BIOS on an HP toptools Remote Control Card.

I have been down every avenue. I called HP they no longer sell the CD's and can offer me no support as to how to flash the toptools Remote Control Card.

All I need is to have the card reset back to factory defaults. The Card is in a HP Netserver LH 3000.

You can copy, paste and google the card and server as I put them in here the correct way.

So, are you saying that I just have to d/l that firmware upgrade, flash it and it will reset to factory default?

Thank you very much!

Or is there a different version somewhere?

http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1014043

You can simply download the drives from the Netserver.hp.com site and do not need the Navigator. The link you speak of is not there anymore. Gues it stays up for only a short time.
We do have disk here if you really want one

Well, the problem is that the CD has a program that detects on the various ver. of the bios that need upgraded, at least that is what my client said. Actually he just need all the settings reseted and he told me the CD will do that. You think so?

thanks a lot!

Just download the lastest BIOS and flash it.
Hi Slam,

A couple of things:

1. There's no such thing as an LC3000. There's an LC3 and and LH3000.

2. There are very few reasons why someone would need the Navigator CD. Updating the BIOS doesn't require it. You just download the latest one from the driver download page and when you run the executable, it creates a bootable floppy which will update it. I also recommend clearing the CMOS and reloading default values when you're done.

3. If this is an LH3000, HP still offers free phone support. They can walk you through the process of finding all available updates and applying them. Unfortunately, if the server is an LC3, it is now considered End of Service Life and HP will only provide billable support.

If you want to call them, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and then say "Netserver" at the prompt.

Hope this helps,

Sean T. Craig Sr. C.E.T., M.C.P.

P.S. Please encourage participation in the forums by assigning points rating the value of the responses.
