I buy an old LHII without Hard Drive, and buy 3 hard disk SCSI of 9 gb 10000 rpm hotswap, i download a ECU soft. Ok the question is: how install NT4 o Linux? how i create a boot sector? The LHII have an embedded SCSI controller (AIC-7880). I put in the upper cage 1 disk, and the lower cage two disk. Thank very much.

First you need to verify what controller the hotswap cages are attached to. These older units did not come with RAID controllers if that is what you are excepting, and only have an Adaptec SCSI controller onboard. Any RAID controller would added as a PCI card.<BR />If a RAID controller exists, you will need to create a Logical Drive from the 3 physical installed drives using the RAID BIOS (<CTRL><M>). The drives will not be available to the OS until a logical drive is created on the RAID controller.<BR />Either way you will probably have to load drivers for either the SCSI card or RAID card when prompted during the NT4 install (F8) to get the drives available to the install.</M></CTRL>
