    <description>It is just that when HP did their compatibility testing and released the model, 4GB's was all there was.&lt;BR /&gt;SCSI has not size limitations, so yes the controller will support larger drives. The unit is probably set up as a Single Ended bus, as it was back then, so you can install any 68pin SCSI drive that has a jumper to force Single Ended mode, most of them still support SE mode and still have the jumper, but check first.</description>

      <description>the HP spec says:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;One 1.44MB, 3.5-inch flexible disk drive; one 8x IDE CD-ROM drive; up to 16.8GB (4 x 4.2GB) maximum storage (two front-accessible shelves, two internal shelves)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;this does not seem right, can't you put a drive larger than 4.2 gb on a scsi chain? i want to install a 9GB 50pin scsi drive as a second drive (D Drive). OS is NT4. if the internal scsi card cannot support it, what about a second card? those cards are supposed to support up to 9 devices.</description>
