I currently have Netware 5.x I'm migrating to w2k by just copying files to another LH3 server w/ w2k. One reason is the Novell is just running extremely slow. when copying files they copy at approx 3meg/min. I think it is the HP nic card using HPTX.LAN drivers. does anyone know. Thanks

hi
whem the lh3 family server run extremely slow, the cause may be due to the managment chip, to solve you need to perform a reset managment:
-shutdown the server,
-disconnect power cable
-disconnect lan cable
-disconnect all periferical connected to the server(modem, ups, printer, tape)
-let the server disconnect form any device for two minuts
-reconnect all and restart
then check if it is running well

bye

marino

Post is when the server boots. It's where the memory count and other checks are performed right after powering on the server. Post is considered the period of time from when you power on the Server to when the Operating system begins to load. Usually is black background with white text. Watch the whole thing.
