My understanding is that Red Hat 7 thru 9 is fully supported on that server with Compaq/HP card and disk solutions.

You run into trouble when you start trying to cut corners and buy fibre cards that Red Hat hasn't tested yet.

I am fairly certain the same situation exists with some of the other big releases such as Debian and Suse.

Anyone have a link to a support matrix??

SEP

If you are going with RH, I suggest RH Enterprise Linux (http://www.redhat.com/software/rhel/)

You can check RH Hardware compatibility list here:

http://hardware.redhat.com/hcl/

regards,
Vitaly.

I had trouble running Debian on the D/380 because of the card, but Redhat 7+ works just fine.
