Hi,

I have been asked to set up a server by my boss and need some help.

When i boot the boot sequence states there is a Smart Array 6i controller card but it is not configured. When i press <F8> to configure the array not drives are being detected. I have two 148Gb drives in the front.

What is going on and how do i configure the array?</F8>

Hi Stephen
I Suggest you boot using SmartStart CD, then launch ACU (Array configuration utility), you will see your controller and Drives.

If it still can't detect your drives it may be a physical problem, try running an IML log and search for problems.

Good luck
Orlando
