I have a DL 385 G2 running Windows Small Business
Server 2003. The OS loaded and configured with the proper Driver Pack. On three occasions after applying OS updates from Microsoft, when rebooting, I get a message OS Load failed and the process stops. Repeated attempts to boot get the same results. After the machines sets over night, it has booted normally.
The machine has two AMD duo processors with 2 GB of memory for each.
Any ideas?

Hi Rick,

Did you install the latest ProLiant Support Pack (PSP). This has the best HP drivers for your server.
Also, is this server booting from local disks or from a SAN? If boot from SAN it might need HBA drivers from the PSP.

Yalla
Thanks Yalla

I did install the latest version and the server is booting from it's internal hard drive. It failed to start this time after I installed a group of 61 updates to bring the op sys up to date. I recall a caution that I might have to reinstall the Server Pack after a substantial update to the op sys. When I can get it to restart, I will install the Server Pack again and see what happens.
