i have a new dl180g6 with 8GB of RAM and two quad xeons. it has 4 15k 450G SAS drives configured in one RAID 5 group. i have installed the BBWC module and it is showing up as 75% write and 25% read. the server is running W2k8. our engineers are complaining of poor write performance and it appears to be around 70mb/s write and 140mb/s read. is this what can be expected out of this machine? if so, it is slower than a single xeon PC with a 7200 RPM SATA drive.

does anyone have any insight on whether this is what can be expected or what to do?

thanks

I would expect more MB/s write, but you must count with raid5 penalty.

what was your performance with single sata drive?

Jan
