Please educate me, Compaq Insight Manager is different to System Insight Manager right?

Is the system management homepage working?

Tipically all you have to do is edit snmpd.conf and add something like

rwcommunity your_snmp_comm sim_server_name

... (then add trap destinations)

trapsink sim_server_name your_snmp_comm

restart snmpd and you're done.

Same error message here as well. (Ubuntu 10.04 on DL180 G6)

Also have issue with getting snmp to forward traps to hp sim, although system management homepage on the server itself works fine.

So if anyone has any input on this it would be very appriciated!

I can post any config/info that is needed

Br
Patric
