topic DL380 G4 Memory in ProLiant Servers (ML,DL,SL)

Im researching memory options for a DL380 G4.
The manual states to use PC2 PC3200 DDR2 SDRAM memory.

Im looking to find out how picky the proliant machine is to brands, speeds, ETC.

Will installing faster memory be an issue? Anybody seen a brand that doesn't work well in these machines?
I assume 2GB is the max per stick but has anyone been able to use more memmory then 2gb per slot?

In researching on ebay a lot of memmory doesnt' specify if it is single or dual rank memmory... maybe the question I should be asking is why did they even make dual ranked to start with if it limits my max memmory.

Any succsess with using memory out of a IBM or Dell machine?

I hate to say memory is memmory but...

Memory configuration rules for DL380 G4 you can find in quick spec

http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12028_div/12028_div.HTML#Memory

HP does no longer offer memory for this server. Memory DIMMs for this server are available from Kingston:

KTH-MLG4/4G 4GB Dual Rank Kit (2x2GB)
KTH-MLG4SR/4G 4GB Single Rank Kit (2x2GB)
